We often ordered from the taj as their delivery was convenient however we have noticed recently that delivery’s are taking longer and curry’s are watery. The other evening we ordered food the website quoted 45 minutes delivery and then 25 pick up. We chose the delivery only after to be told that despite ordering at 7:39 that food would be there at 8:46 (over an hours wait) 8.46 came and gone and we still hadn’t received food. Contacted the restaurant to ask where it was an explain the poor service received. Gentleman didn’t care what I had to say and kept repeating it’s on its way. No apology no care even when I explained we had ordered regularly. When food came the curry was watery and was practically swimming in water or oil rather than the actual madras. Onion Bhaji was on the over cooker side I for one totally appreciate a busy restaurant but still no excuse for lack of customer service

One of the best curry houses I've tried in the area. Service is friendly, portions generous and tasty, and great value menu. Loved the Baileys and after eight with the bill - which I've only seen at Flavour of India before it changed hands. Everything (bar the poppadoms and chutney) tasted fresh, and came out nice and hot. They could do with reorganising the 'specials' part of the menu though - it's a confusing mess!

Wednesday curry deal is an absolute must. Food was banging, service top notch, favourite wine available (oyster bay) at affordable prices. Recommended a chef special that was not on the menu that was delicious & devoured. Don’t walk past, dine in!!!

UPDATE TO BELOW REVIEW.. Just did another order, which they cancelled, when calling the guy claimed we are out of their delivery area and are too far. Which makes 0 sense. He was also blunt and emotionless. Also seemed to imply I was lying about ordering before.. shame after left such a good review lasttime. Will now seek elsewhere. ----- Orginal review below. If you're searching for the most authentic, flavour-packed Indian meal, look no further! This was, without a doubt, the most flavoursome Indian food I’ve ever had. The Lamb Tikka Phall was fiery and rich, bursting with bold spices yet beautifully balanced. The Chicken Chat Puri Starter (extra hot!) delivered a delightful kick with succulent, well-seasoned chicken wrapped in soft, warm puri—perfection! The Keema Rice was another knockout, infused with deliciously spiced minced meat and the perfect amount of heat. Every dish was cooked to absolute perfection, the sauce was thick and indulgent, the meat was tender and full of flavour, and everything arrived hot and steaming, just as it should. Timing was spot on, proving that they care about both quality and service. Of course, the papadam added that satisfying crunch to round off an unforgettable meal. A truly exceptional dining experience—I’ll definitely be ordering again! Highly recommend.
